HEY Michiganders where is everyone??
Hi! My name is Rob and this is my first time posting on the Michigan forum. I have been lurking in here for the past few days but never posted. So... I saw this as an opportunity to post and introduce myself. I am concluding my research phase of the WLS and I am scheduled to meet with a surgeon next week. I have found all of your stories to be uplifting and have been a great source of comfort. I look forward to getting to know all of you in the future.
HI Rob - you are in my neck o the woods!
I am just now 6 weeks out from lap band and I LOVE IT!!!!! Have had relatively no problems, with the exception of a couple of times when I forgot 2 rules: don't talk with food in your mouth (you forget to chew it well before swallowing) and slow down!
Whichever surgery you choose, commit to it. Personally, I like the band as it affords me a slower weight loss and not so much risk. Others say the duodenal switch is great too.
We will see you on the losers bench soon??
I'm Here! I'm surprised there aren't more on the board, it's freezing outside! I've been wondering where everyone is too. I have been busy looking for work, actually have an interview tomorrow, hopefully i'll get it. This staying home is driving me nuts!!
I'm glad everything's going so good for you, aren't you due to be up here soon?
Linda
I'll be in Lapeer, November 30 - December 2nd. Oh I can't wait!!!!
I got the BESTEST news last week too. My oldest dd called off her engagement with her bf!!!!!!! Praise the Lord, I'm so thrilled. She's been engaged for almost 2 years and he has still not gotten a job. (he's not tried really either). Last year she told him no job, no marriage... and now she's given him back the ring and everything!!!!!!!!
I'm sooooooo proud of her!! I knew I raised her better then to marry someone with no work ethic.
I can't wait to see her again when I get to Michigan!!!!
It's FREEZING here too. 40's at night and barely 60 during the day. I sat in classes today with my coat, scarf, and gloves on I was so cold!!! Guess I didn't move south enough. LOL
