therapy before approve

just wonder is anybody went throught therapy before get approve.

 

I went through the Psych Therapy.  Not sure if that is the therapy you are talking about. Jackie.

I did not, but i wish i did!    In my opinion preop you should have to go through extensive counseling  to understand the big picture.    I wasn't really prepared for what was coming at 2 or 3 years out.   We aren't taught about our tool and what to expect after the honeymoon period.   When you get to a few years out it's very very easy to gain your weight back, it takes a lot of work and dedication.    It is only a tool, and if you don't make it a lifestyle change it isn't going to work.    Linda

Not before, besides just the eval.  But I have signed on to therapy since surgery and i go every 2 weeks.   I honestly love it, my therapist had surgery and it gives me a chance to talk face to face with someone that understands.

I was not required to go to therapy but like Linda said I wish I did because I had major depression after my surgery and almost commited suicide due to complications.   I lost my best friend in food after my surgery and I did not know  how to handle it when I got sick.  Tricia
