Codine?

Found out today my husband has pneumonia. Our neighbor who works for my husband has been sick and went to the Dr. today and has bronchitis. Last night I woke up in the middle of the night with a terrible sore throat and today have been coughing and not feeling well at all. They gave my husband some cough syrup with codine in it. Is this something we can have? I got me some tylenol cold and sugar free cough drops. I just feel like plain old crud. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Connie

I've used it but I told Theresa the other day it gave me the "Jimmy" legs something fierce. It doesn't bother the pouch. kp
