Just wanted to keep everyone posted so far about my progress. My swelling has went down alot. I am hardly in any pain at all. I take the pain meds at night to help me sleep only because I am uncomfortable sleeping on my back. I still have the staples and drains in. I will have those until next Tuesday. I am walking everyday even walked over a mile the other day. I am able to get up and down okay.  I talked to Hendrick today and he was very pleased with the progress of my tuck thus far. I have to admit that this is ending up being easier than I thought. Every once in awhile I will get a sharp pain but it is only for a couple of minutes and then it goes away! Thank goodness. I am just going stir crazy being in the house and not being able to drive. I am getting some scrapbooking done so at least I am accomplishing that.  I am so thankful for all the friends that have kept in touch with me over the past week to check in on me and make sure I am okay.  Suzanne

You are doing far better than I did ater the first week of my TT.  I was still pretty much in agony after week one.  Good for you! The worst for me was the "nerve shocks" when the healing process began.  I'm glad you are going through a relatively pain free process.  Maybe I'm just more of a wimp than you.  Hang in there.  Things can only get better from here. Maybe that is what those sharp pains are every once in awhile. I have one area that gets them very frequently right under my staples, otherwise they are random in different places. They come very fast out of no where and last only a couple of minutes.  Everyone I talked to cannot believe that I walked as much as I have but I know Hendrick would have my head on a platter if I was not walking everyday! He is just to stern about certain things.

Suzanne, Glad to hear you are doing so well.  I am sure you can't wait for the drain and the staples to come out., you will feel even better then I am sure.  Scrapbooking can be a good thing and like you said at least you are getting something accomplished.  Hope you continue to heal and progress as good as you have been so far.
