OT - Root Canal
I'm still here, but not feeling so great. I'd been in pain for the last few weeks and I finally went to the dentist and found out I'd need a root canal.
With no insurance, a cleaning, exam, x-rays, root canal, core and crown would have run me $2238. Although my dad offered to pay for it, I was still upset - I had just had the car fixed (a $25 oil change turned out to be $415, whi*****luded tie rods, rocker arms, and front end alignment) the week before.
Anyhow, I signed up for DenteMax Dental Discount Program (via Macomb County) for $69 year. Mom found a dentist that would do all three so I went there yesterday. The cost to have the root canal, x-rays and core - $285. I have an appointment next week to get the mold done for the crown, which will be about $300 or so.
Right now the mouth is sore, but I can live with that I'm also thankful that I have been spared by about 70% of the cost. Although I am only working temporary until mid-December, I plan on paying my dad back. He may be generious, but I know that The Bank of Dad is not always going to be there.
Other than feeling tired, I seem to be ok...
