Is it normal for someone that is 6 days out to have very loose stool?  I dont "eat" anything yet, I'm just drinking the protein packages and all the water I can consume.  I know this is most likely normal, because I am only drinking things.. but had to ask to get some relief.. THanks Jodi

Jodi..... totally normal.  Liquid in - liquid out.  Things will get better once you start on solids. Jon

Thanks Jon for the quick responce.  I was telling my parents.  Father seemed concerned, but mother said "Well that means your surgery is working"  DUH.. should have thought of that!!

But still needed reassurance!

THanks again...

OK, gross moment coming: I remember 2 things very vividly post-op 1)  the relief and almost joy in finally farting 2)  the return of my normal bowel movements.   As John said, the liquid in, liquid out thing  Glad to hear things are going well! --Sax

Jodi,  Been following your journey.  Sounds like you're doing well.  Hey, don't complain about the loose stools, wait until they harden up like the first snowball in Michigan! I am excited for you.  I can tell you'll do well.   You remind me of me and I'm sure all of oldies can remember those first few months and all the newness and questions going on in our head. I am so grateful for this website and the people on it.  A question can be asked 100 times and everyone is very patient and answers you. We are here for you.   Blessings.
