backaches

I have had trouble with my back hurting for the last six months.  (It's gotten to the point where I'm in constant pain and am having trouble moving.) It started about two months after my surgery.  I first thought it just might be from the weight lost and my back needing to readjust but now I'm not so sure.   I lost my job and my insurance three weeks after my surgery so going to the doctors is something I've been avoiding because of the cost.  Has anyone else had this problem? What made it better?

I had lots of back pain, too.  I went to physical therapy, and the therapist told me back problems are very common after WLS surgery because of the spine needing to readjust.  What helped me the most was walking and Tylenol.  The physical therapist told me walking was the best thing to do.  But if it's to the point that you're having trouble moving, I would think you should see the doctor.

I HAD AND STILL HAVE BACK PAIN IN MY LOWER BACK. HAD XRAY DONE SHOWED ARTHRITIS THERE...WENT TO THERAPY AND DID ALOT OF STRETCHING EXERCISES AND THEY ALSO APPLIED A HEAT PACK FOR 20 MINUTES. ULTRAM ALSO HELPED ME DEAL WITH THE PAIN. GOOD LUCK....
