Could any other mmpc patients tell me what the 6 week diet consists of? My 6 week appointment is a week late, and I a just want to know, so I can be ready for it.

Ok,  I am a bit slow and there are no stupid questions, I hope.   But I have seen mmpc on several posts and have tried and tried to figure out what it stood for but I hit a brick wall.   Could someone please let me know what MMPC is. Thank you

At 6 weeks you get to add more foods (solids) to your diet.  I really looked forward to this one because I could have watermelon and I had been craving it.  It didn't taste as good as I remembered though, lol.

Watermelon won't hurt you.  The nutritionist gave me the ok at 6 weeks.  There's just not a whole lot of value in it except for the taste.  I put it with my cottage cheese and then it adds flavor to the protein.

Hello...I had my 6 week check today and I wanted to get back with you regarding the 6 week diet. In short, I was given the all clear to try anything (other than fried, sugar, etc.). You'll be given a handout with ideas and options, but she said that as long as you get the 60-80 grams of protein then you can try whatever you wanted. She did give the advice to make sure that breads get really toasted (less likely to "gum" in the pouch) and to try to get 15 grams of protein at each meal and then at snack. If you are going to continue with protein shakes, she prefered to have this as a snack and not as a meal.  I was pleased with the new food choices--maybe I'll start feeling more "normal"!!
