Ok folks I NEVER did the protein powders but I need help!!! Ok my father-in-law is a dialysis pt. he also has a weak heart ( 20% fuction he also has a pacemaker/ defib.)
ok back to the protein powders.. all 3 of his docs today said to add: ODORLESS/TASTELESS protein powder to the Glycernia(sp) that he drinks..
which once are better then others and reasonabable because quite frankly as his heart doc said he's only here by the grace of God!! thanks for the help.. you guys are the best. Pam
Hi Pam,
There is a Orderless/Tasteless protein powder call ANY WHEY that GNC sells. You can mix it in soups, coffee, crystal lite - just about anything and it is as close to tasteless as you are gonna get.
The only drawback is that you cannot put it in something that is hot - you actually have to mix it and mix it and gradually get your coffee warm and not too hot. It will get clumpy if you get it too hot and be really gross. It has 17 grams of protein.
Good luck.

I use AnyWhey powder. (Buy it at Vitamin Shoppe) Can't taste it, but it does have kind of a "vanilla-y" smell to it when you first scoop it. I will warn you, it clumps a bit, so you have to experiment with how you mix it. I drink it every morning in my hot chocolate and it's the only protein powder I can handle.
I've use Any Whey since..............I can't remember for how long.
Best way to mix it with warm/hot beverages is to first make sure they are not over 130 degrees.
Then get a shaker, and put the scoop of protein in the liquid and shake vigorously.
There is a trick to using this protein powder and I've found the shaker method works and prevents clumping.
Unjury is also unflavored protein powder and can be found online at www.unjury.com, however I have not tried that one.
If the beverage is a cold beverage, I would also recommend the shaker method, which those can be found at GNC or most health food stores for around 5-6 dollars.
Hope this helps!
