get it togethers

hello everyone, is there any for sure dates or activities planned?? i am so depressed, went back to work 9/24, today and now that gm is on strike and i work for ryder, of course we supply freight so i am on a day to day status, unemployment here i come !! on top of that i am fighting with my disability ins for benefits thru 9/21-24, of course bills are due and phone is ringing off the hook.what to do ? i am broke and i need to get refills on my meds, when is going to end?/ shoot or hang myself? god please give me a break!! hope to see yas again.

Hey Rebecca, We couldn't decide on a date, a place, and what age we're supposed to act, so we didn't end up planning anything. Maybe we could all just agree on lunch somewhere? Anyway, I hope you get to feeling better.  I know words of encouragement don't amount to a whole lot, but you can vent here whenever you feel like it.  Things have to get better......I said before-you're a strong chick, and you'll get through this, I know you will. Grab a cup of coffee and go for a short walk and try to clear your head.  I'm praying for better times to come your way! XOXO

Rebecca, I know it don't make you feel better but I have been unemployed since October 2006.  I have been on so many interviews and get turn down.  I know I get turned down mostly because of my weight and color.  I know that with the economy they are giving the job to their friends as well.  I had to hide my car from the repo man.  I am trying to save my house, apartment and truck while looking for a job daily.  You know, I have to have FAITH and I know that God is taking care of the situation and he is doing it for you as well.  I want the lap band surgery and can't get it because of no insurance.

Rebecca, please hang in there.  I pray that they get this strike done with quickly.  I'm thinking it was done to make a statement and like our lawmakers, will get back to work to do what they need to get a contract signed.  My heart goes out to those who are out of work and hope that this state gets back on the right track.  I'll keep you in my prayers.

thank all of you that replied to my msg, i know that things change and have to wait it out, but being under alot of pressure doesn't help, i am going to start calling all my crediters and hope they will allow a hold on payments until unemployment kicks in.

Rebecca, you're taking the first step by contacting your creditors.  Most of them will work with you as long as they know what's happening.  Hopefully they'll let you put the payments on hold for a short period of time or at least reduce them until you're back to work full time and getting a paycheck.  If not, then worry about your house payment, keeping the lights on, food, car payment and then whatever's left give to the creditors.  They won't like it but at least they'll know you're trying.  Please don't skip the house payment or rent or utilities just to make a credit card payment, it's not worth it.

Rebecca I am sorry that you are going through this. I dont think that the workers realize sometimes how it trickles down to the rest of us when they do the strike etc. And I come from an automotive family. I think it is horrible what is happening. I have friends that this strike is starting to effect and of course in my work if people dont have money they dont take care of their animals so this strike is just another whammy on us too. Please remember to keep your chin up and try to think positive. You will get through this. Remember that you have friends here who are willing to listen and be a sounding board for you. THANKS AGAIN EBERYONE, MY NEIGHBOR DUG OUT HER PIGGY BANK AND WE WENT TO KROGER TO CA**** IN. IT WAS HEAVY, OLD WATER BIG BOTTLE. ANYWAY IT COME OUT WITH $80 WOW. SHE GAVE IT TO ME SO I COULD GET MY MEDICINE AND GAS IN MY CAR ! WOW GOD I LOVE HER FOR THIS. NOW I JUST NEED TO GET MY INSURANCE DISABILITY STRAIGHTEN OUT AND HOPE I GET THAT CHECK THIS FRIDAY.
