Meeting the MMPC crew yesterday!
Yesterday had my appointments to meet with the Dietitian, Lysandra, Exercise Physiologist, Andy, and PAC Todd. Just have to mention that I LOVE Todd!!! He was wonderful!! Went through all what to expect and what not. Ordered our food, drinks, and then had a one on one with one of the PAC. There were 6 ladies in my group. Two for each Dr. When it came time to have a one on one with the PAC, Todd must have been over worked or what not, because he was not the one to go over my Pre-Op instructions. Matt was the one who went over it with me. :O( But he was good too, just not Todd.
I was told that Todd or Matt will not be in the OR when I am there. Randy will be in there. He is the one working with Dr Foote next month. I sure hope Todd is the PA to come and see me at the hospital. I have not met Randy, and I'm sure he is wonderful, but there is just something about Todd I fell in love with. He is a jokester and made me feel like I could give it right back. And I did!! :O)
On another note...I asked to be put on FMLA prior to my surgery, and was turned down by, I guess Todd. I have not been to work at all this week due to pain. I called my employer this morning and they already had another set of FMLA paper work ready to be mailed to me to go over with my PCP. I called and made an appointment with my PCP for tomorrow, and I'm guessing she will see that I have sever/chronic pain and will grant me the time off. If she sees that I do not need the time of,(for some Godly reason) I was instructed to call back my employer and they will give me approved time off with out pay. I don't care if I get paid or not...that is what the "rainy day" stash is for...My employer has been so wonderful to me through all of this so far. I have the best boss. She sees how I feel, and that me and my work are suffering from it.
I think that is all I have to say... I hope I did not forget to mention anything,
thanks for reading!!
Jodi :O)
Todd is Da Man. I love him. He's everything you said -- funny, friendly, personable. He makes you feel comfortable, not like a package on a conveyor belt. He said I made his toes curl when I said I had tuna my second week out because it freaked him, but he was also very understanding of the fact that not all people are the same. And he likes my tattoos.
Andy's great. So is Christine, the dietician/nutritionist. I pretty much like all the staff...well, there's ONE person who annoyed the livin' crap out of me...but we won't go into that here.

okay.. now you HAVE to tell me who annoys you!! :O) There is someone there I really despise the person thought their crap did not stink..Huh!, and I'm guessing it is the same person. This person rubbed me the wrong way.. and I'm glad I dont have to see them again... It was a one time appt with them...
:O) Jodi..
Well, I will say he's not a doctor. And he dropped the ball and that delayed proceedings THREE MONTHS. I would leave msgs on his voicemail which he'd say he didn't get, then later admitted he did.
When I spoke to someone who used to work with MMPC, she said this person had a bad rep for delaying patients' surgeries with nonsense. I've been tempted to report him but I wanted to wait till I was well post-op because I didn't want him to come up with any last-minute "red flags" in my case to halt proceedings.
Can you guess who he is? :)
