I'd like to organize another Michigan Board get together.  It's just in the very beginning planning stages. Post here if you'd be interested in meeting on a weekend in October.  Also, if you have any suggestions on what we could do as a group, please post that as well. We always have a great time when we actually do get together...it's the planning that is so hard!

Hi Brenda! Jay and I would love to get together with board folks again. The weekend of October 18 isn't good for us so far but other than that we would love to see everyone. A couple of suggestions might be dinner at The Blue Nile in Ferndale which is fun place to eat with a group or perhaps something more in line with the fall season such as a trip apple picking or something Halloween related like a hayride. Some places I have seen in the past do a package deal like hayride, dinner and bonfire which would be really fun I think. Just a few thoughts I had for something fun to do.

I definitely like the idea of a hayride type thing.  A corn maze would be fun, too.  I know there are LOTS of cornmazes around MI.  Isn't there a big one near Cabela's in Dundee?  We get many flyers at school for these types of places for field trips.  I'll see what type of info I can come up with.  I saw one on the news the other day.  It was HUGE...like 40 acres...but it was near Saginaw, I believe.  Anyway, the maze was an  Old English D and a Tiger.  Interesting....with the potential to be lost for days....LOL!  BRENDA!  Great to see you yesterday and meeting your family.  You are all so SWEET!  There is ONE weekend in October that is out for me, but I don't have the dates yet (long story) but it's usually the last weekend of Oct.  I'll try to find that out very soon! Tina

A hayride bonfire sounds like alot of fun. However I am having my tuck on October 3rd and my wedding anniversary is on the 6th so I know that week is out for me. Not sure about the rest of the month, plus with healing!  Let me know if there are any small things I can do to help.  Suzanne

Ok...the cornmaze with the Tigers theme is in Casco, MI...northeast of Sterling Heights.  You can find more info, including an aerial view of the cornmaze at www.cornfun.com.  It's not the only one around the general area.  Could be a possibility.  Depends on how far people wanna travel.  I'm willing.  Tina P.S.  Oh...and the maze is only 13 acres...not 40.  LOL! OOPS

Hi, Carey!  How's it going?  How's the puppy? I am doing well.  School started two weeks ago.  Hard to believe!  The summer FLEW by.  And so far, so is the school year.  THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO AT SCHOOL!  I'm grading papers....or at least I'm supposed to be, right now.  LOL!  I hope the "get together" comes together.  It'd be great to see everyone again.  Tina
