Hi Kathy,    Wow, you mean your finally here!? I am so glad that things are finally working out for you! Are you going to do the 2 week presurgery diet?  Hope to see you at the Hurley bari. ball next spring! Congrats and best of skill to your surgeon; and speedy recovery to you. Judy, Yep!   5 weeks to go.  I went for my Nut. class this morning and will have my PAT on Wednesday.  They are making me do 4 weeks of the pre-op diet.  UGH!  But I can do it!!  I can do anything if it means success with this tool!  Thank you for all your well wishes and I hope to see you and your daughter at the Ball. Hi there!  I was just referred to Dr. Kralovich today by my PCP.  I am getting the lap band done at Hurley also, I am still in the process because I switched from Barix in Ypsilanti to Hurley.  Hurley is alot closer to my house and I fugure with maintaing fills I need to be close to home to save on drive time.  I hope all goes well for you, keep me posted.

Hi Patti! Have you met with Dr. K yet?  He seems to have a really good bedside manner.  I just switched to Hurley recently too.  I was trying to go through the U of M, but they are still in the process of setting up for doing lap bands.  Hurley is little farther for me (1 1/2 hours) but they have a great reputation.  I hope all goes well for you too and keep me posted.  It doesn't seem like there are a lot of lap banders on the Mich. board.

Hi kathy, It's good to hear good things about the Dr.  Let me know how it goes for you.  My appointment with him isn't untill October 16th.  They said it would take 3 hours!!!!  Did it take you that long the first time with Hurley??  I allready did this with the Barix clinic, but I guess I will be doing it again.   You are right about the Michigan board, there are never any lap band people on there. I guess we will have to change that, huh?  Well I wish you the best of the best and keep me posted.

Hey Patti! I think I was there 1 1/2 - 2 hours.  I know they sometimes get backed up on appts., so that is probably why you were told 3 hours. I just had my Pre-admit. testing done yesterday.  I was at Hurley for 5 1/2 hours!  Most of that time was waiting to see Dr. Minasian.  All the staff members there were so friendly and encouraging.  It's the first time I've been to the hospital for anything.

Oct. 16 will be here before you know it.  At least that's what I am hoping... my surgery is the next day!  I just started on the liquid diet and it's killing me already!  I have to do 2 extra weeks because of my higher BMI.  But, I will get through this cause I can see the light shining at the end of this long tunnel!
