I had my surgery September 4th
I was in surgery for 3.5 hours. I am still pretty sore. I was very nausiated. I have been drinking my protein and some yogurt. I really don't know when I can try other things? After my 2 week check up? I hope I can try other things. I am down 17 lbs from the date I started the liquid diet. I walked to the mail box today. Wow good for me. I got so dehydrated that they wanted to take my blood and blew 7 veins. My arms are so bruised.Well I will write again soon.

Judy - I know that its very hard to get those fluids in after surgery. Ya gotta just keep on sipping all of the time! (course then you got to pee all the time too)lol
I remember when I finally was able to walk all the way around our block!! What a day that was. But it was just a few short weeks later and I was walking a mile at a time,
then it was 3 miles a day, then 5 miles a day!!! This all from the woman who couldn't walk through WalMart as a preop!!!
You're doing GREAT !!!! Just keep it up!! Soon your clothes will be falling right off of you.
Oh I know exactly how you feel (dont feel) about hunger. I honestly did not feel hunger for many many months after surgery. I set myself up on a schedule. I measured everything that went into my mouth. And I stuck to it, day after day after day - and the weight came off.
I had to make a game out of my water. It was my "goal" to get a 20 oz bottle finished between breakfast and lunch, then another between lunch and dinner, and then another between dinner and bedtime. Those first couple of months that was a perfect day for me!!
Of course, that gets easier as time goes on. Now I can drink a 20 oz bottle in an hour with no problems at all.
Take it easy, sip sip sip, walk around and sip some more. Take a nap when tired!! This is the time to allow yourself to heal.
