Medication's

I don't know if anybody has had this happen to them....but I had sinus infection and was giving Amoxicillin in a liquid form. I had taken my first dose and with in 5 mins or so I was so very sick and it caused me to vomit.  I called the pharmacy to ask if this medication had any sugar in it.....and he said " oh yes for the strawberry flavor" I never thought about sugar in this medication as I'm very careful and read everything before I eat or drink it..... I just wanted to let you all know ask your Pharmacist questions of what is in your medications before taking them....It just may save you from being sick.

Yeah. It tastes like dung if you don't use the flavoring but then you puke. I just take the chewable tables. BTW- If you are and RNY person you need to spread your meds out. For my wrist problem I broke the tablets into 1/4s and instead of taking one every 6 hours I took a 1/4 every hour and a half otherwise it would hit me hard then fade in an hour and a half. kp
