The nurse said that if I was having problems then they would see me, but i'm on medicare/medicaid now and they don't accept medicaid.... i'm at 190lbs. now and feel very fat...can eat alot, did the cottage cheese test 2c. or more!!!!   also, i just found out that I have hiatal hernia, wonder if thats the problem?   any thoughts...thanks  jane

Have your hernia repaired and it will help. As far as eating a lot - don't. Go back to the beginning and start over. kp

we baix ppl are sposed to have lifelong after care aren't we? or was i dreaming?

um- 30 # is alot but i have to think that maybe portion control could be part of the culprit--the weight won't just "stay" off...

sorry-not to offend.

It's always been said, before and after wls, just because you CAN eat a certain amount, doesn't mean you SHOULD eat it.  I would for sure get the hernia repaired and then maybe get back to basics.  Here's a website I found VERY interesting, I saved it in case I ran into this sort of trouble. http://livingafterwls.blogspot.com/2007/08/five-day-pouch-test.html

Thanks for your input, i do eat alot of soft foods, will call Barix and ask about the hernia. it is small so my dr. where i'm live  said its not a problem, just take my meds for heatburn. will try the 5 day pouch test to get on track....jane
