WOW Moments!! Never, never, never before wls!

Just got home a few hours ago from staying at a friends in West Bloomfield.  Last night I found how much alcohol it takes to get me drunk!  Thank goodness I was not driving!  But those caramel apple martinis (minus the caramel they drizzle inside the glass) hit pretty fast!!  (I only was able to do 1-1/2 in a three hour time span!). And for my wow moment - today I got a tattoo!  I have always wanted one, but before WLS never even had the nerve to do it.   Figured I have been through so many changes over the past year, what the he - - .....  So, for my bday I told hubby I wanted a tattoo.  He said okay, then that is what you will get for your birthday from us (him and the boy).   I searched and searched and searched.  Found this butterfly that I fell in love with.  Decided to have it on the right side back of my neck...and between a quarter and half dollar in size.  Well.......see my pics for what actually happened!!  Keith at Eternal Tattoo did awesome!!! AND...last Wednesday I got my rings back after having them resized a second time in the past year.  My wedding ring is a size 5!!  My right hand ring finger is a size 6!!  My best friend, who is tall and very thin, cannot even put my size 5 ring on her finger - it's too small!!!!   Michelle

You go girl....what a gorgeous butterfly....kinda like your new life...a butterfly out of the cacoon. I haven't tried to drink yet....but I know I won't be able to put away what I could before.....6 long island ice teas....I think not!!! You have more guts than I do....I would love a tatoo.

I didnt have my first taste of alcohol until I was about 10 months out...so you have a bit of time until you get to that time frame.  I was too scared!  Until Friday night I could only manage to drink 1/2 bottle of Smirnoff Ice in about 30-45 minutes and I was buzzed.  The martini didnt even taste like alcohol, but suddenly it hit me and WOW!  LOL!  It was a fun 'once in a while' night though!  My friend and I had so much fun and laughing all night long!  It was great to be away from our kids!

Wow!  That is some tattoo!  Must be something in the air....... You should have let us know you were coming down this way, maybe we could have had a mini outing! It's nice to see you so happy and brave! Happy Birthday!

LOL Umm.... I am goign to be down there October 13/14/15 weekend (whatever the dates are).  We are going back to Eternal and having piercings done.  LMAO! Also.......my friend down there does laser hair removal.  She said if people down there are interested in doing a 'party' she will give a discount of 25 cents per pound lost!  But we need to get everything figured out about it first. Wow Michelle I love your tattoo it is great they did a great job. I am in the process of searching to get my second one done I am looking for a rosary to go around my ankle and down on my foot and something for my upper back.   Hugs Tricia

Congrats on your WoW moment Michelle... I am sure that made you feel wonderful... The tattoo is beautiful.. I plan on getting one (a butterfly) on the small of my back after I have my PS done.  I already have one on my ankle and on my chest... Now I want two more.. LOL.. They are very addicting... Be warned.... Can't wait to hear about the next one you get... LOL...
