Should I move up my date?!?!?!?!

I don't know what to do!!!!   They called and have a cancelation, and want to move my surgery up from the 18th to the 11th thats a week early.  I don't know what to do!! I thought it might be better school wise because its earlier in the semester only a week into classes.  I just need some advice please!!

Take the earlier date....life's short, take advantage of unexpected opportunities!

Hi Amanda,    Go for it; you have been waiting a long time. And yes this will be better in case of school. What are your feelings about this? Also that will give you less time to worry. I got the same opportunity when I had my surgery.  I got to move my date up by 2 weeks... It took some juggling with child care and all, but I made it work... Things just fell into place and I knew it was meant to be.... I would jump at the chance if I were you, but you have to do what you know is right in your heart... Wishing you all the best... Well I decided to move it up!  I am now having it September 11th at 11am.  The lady at the office said she had been trying to give away this slot for over a week!  No one would take it because of supersticous about the day it is.  I just figure it was ment for me   Oh yeah and she also had problems because people didn't have the stuff they needed to go on the liquid diet early.  I have had mine for about a week now, because I am as she said on the ball haha. So now my surgery will be September 11th at Hurley Medical Center in Flint Michigan. I am really happy it is going to work out better for school because it is so much closer to the beginning of semester.  The first few weeks are blow off anyway haha. (thats probably bad to say about my education but its true)

CONGRATS!!  As you probably already know, you are in great hands with Dr. Farhan.  He did my surgery 2 years ago on August 11.  SO...here's to a smooth surgery and a speedy recovery!  Tina
