Brenda's original post:

For another night out? I'm so ready for another dinner and maybe Boogie Fever date!

If you're ready to go with me (maybe sometime in September?) let me know.  I can't make the Mid Mich ba****'s our surgery group's picnic.....but we can schedule around that outing so anyone that wants to go to both can. And my answer, to eliminate some confusion.  How was the smoke and loudness level at the disco?   That (and the fact that I'm so flippin old) was why I didn't tag along last time.

Somewhere I saw some cheap upcoming concerts at DTE.  I'll research if anyone has an interest in that kind of night out.

I did delete it because after I thought about it, I realized it was tough just getting our little group together, so I doubted anyone would want to do it again so soon. I suppose we could keep replying to Jane and then people will get confused and that would be funny.  How come you and Tina live so far away!  I want us all to go out again!  PS-the smoke was not bad at Boogie Fever, or at least I didn't think so.  The music was loud, but it was great (Jay will dispute that, I'm sure).

I didn't think Boogie Fever was that bad as far as smoke or loud music was concerned.  Where we were sitting was a good spot for all of us that didn't dance.  We don't live THAT far away!  LOL!   Let's do something in Ann Arbor or Ypsi sometime...although I'm not familiar with the bars and clubs in those areas.   There are some good restaurants/bars in Ypsi but other than that, I'm not very familiar.  But definitely, we should get together again, soon!

the last half hour or so that we were there i thought the smoke was becoming unbearable and i couldn't wait to leave so that i could breath again, but for most of the night the place was not very crowded and there was little or no smoke.  the loudness level was fine, the music choices were well... disco.  which is to to be expected at a disco.  i want to go to DTE to see the Hives if it's cheap but it has to be cheap because they're just the opening act and i have no interest whatsoever in the headliner.

I agree with you Jay.  The smoke definitely got worse as the night went on, but I really didn't notice it until we were getting ready to leave.

I'm overly sensitive to cigarette smoke for some reason.   Only since i quit smoking in '89.  Before that it never bothered me.
