i didnt understand the 12 week total supplement program (bmi>40 discuss syrgery options) cuse a take my baby with me and she was very uncomfortable thats why i didnt put attention... is this program part of the 6 month diet or is optional and i can go with other doctor and dietician or is mandatory this program help please

I think you went to the wrong orientation.  You probably went to the medical weight loss program instead of the surgical weight loss program.  Call them up and schedule the surgical orientation.  I think the same thing happened to Jodi but it's all straightened up now.

Yeah I agree with above post. I think you went to the wrong orientation. Sorry- that sucks...I had an RNY in May 2007 and I had Dr. Foote. He is awesome:) Best of luck to you:) Feel free to conact me with any questions. I live in Grand Rapids.. Faith

I am not sure about the twelve weeks supplementation, but your insurance may require it.   MMPC requires you to use supplements two weeks before and two weeks after the surgery.  Actually though, I had a tough time tolerating them because of the lactose in them, and I used my own, but they do want you to lose some weight before surgery.
