Im  one of the original non sleepers!    After surgury  I went from an average of 2-3 hrs a night  to less than one.  My dr has me taking lunesta.  I now know what sleeping 7 hrs a night is like!   no wierd side effects   Unless actually sleeping is a side effect!!!!!!    Gonna be hard to get used to the old 2-3 hrs a sleep again when the insominia chain breaks!

I am having this issue now. I am falling asleep at work!!! My sleep apnea is gone.  I have been tested for all the vitamin deficiencies and all that is ok. I was tested for Eppstein Barr, and Cytomeglovirus. I have had both in the past but not active in my system now. My PCP is thinking a mild depression...although I have been way worse. He said the trauma from surgery and alot going on in our lives is catching up with me.  I am also having an echocardiagram, (they heard something in my heartbeat) to make sure there isn't something going on in there. I don't want to go back on antidepressants. I am going to try Lunesta. My PCP has some samples...not sure if insurance covers them.
