I have my medical evaluation at the Beaumont Health Ctr in a couple hours and I'm nervious. Any words of wisdom? I hate getting blood drawn and I'm told they're going to take alot of it. Ugh. I guess it's a long appt so myhubby is going with me (I have a sitter for my son).  Is this as painless as the other 3 appts I had?

Jennifer, The lady who draws the blood is wonderful.  She has been with the WLS for about 25 years.  I didn't feel a thing.  Remember, they only stick you once, and just keep replacing the tubes.  They do an extensive testing to ensure you are healthy and ready for this surgery.   There is no pain. Ditto on what Patti said.  I think the 2 Drs that do the medical evaluations are similar in the blood work.  I had Dr McCullough, who is wonderful, and he draws about 20 tubes.  But it was totally painless. Chanel (I think that was her name) was a real pro at drawing the blood.  No pain, and not the slightest bruise afterwards.  Good luck. ~Sheryl
