I feel so helpless!!

I have posted here recently about how I had emergency surgery but since then I keep having more and more complications(pleurisy and adhesions) and may need another sugery. I was looking for a job prior to this happening since my husband has been in and out of work because of his back. The doctors want him to have sugery but he hasnt yet because that could put him out for months. Right now I am afraid we are going to lose our house. School is coming up and 3 of my kids birthdays are in September. I just don't know what to do anymore. I feel like I am on the verge of being homeless. I have called Lighthouse and they said they could only give us $100 dollars and that would be nice but it just isn't enough. I just want to cry.

Holly, I am so sorry you are having these problems.  I too have had a lot of stress and money issues lately including the mortgage trouble.  Not as bad as what you are going through, but bad enough.   Please call the Housing and Urban development and ask them about the groups that are out there that help people in our area from losing their homes.  I heard about this in the Flint Journal awhile back, but can't remember what the name of the group is.  You may get other ways to help you from them also. Holly i can so relate.   I went through this in the spring, i was one day short of losing my house.    Luckily we were able to get money from my husbands 401k for hardship.   In the beginning i stressed too, the light house wouldn't do anything to help.    I was working part time cause of my daughters health issues .    You know, stressing isn't gonna make it any better.    Call some churches and see where they can help you.   I just recently got laid off and know my time is coming too.    I hope you find the help you need. Holly,  Girl I am so sorry that you and your family are going thru this. Have you check with Human development? I just seen something on the bulletin board at the grocery store. It was asking if you where homeless or need permanent housing. I would try them asap. It should be in your phone book under the county that you live in.   I know you haven't been able to work or get out of the house because of being ill. Well I am working from home now. I work for a company called Liveops. I make very good money. I average 15.00 an hr. I still do massages on the side, but I was just getting burned out doing them all the time and with the travel and today's gas prices....YUCK! anyway If you are interested PLEASE let me know. I will hook you up with the website. What is great is you chose your hrs. It is 24/7 so you work when and how often you want and need. I will fill in the details if you are interested. I will pm you my email and phone number if I can help. We have come a long way in this process together Holly and I hate to see you having to go thru this now. Michigan economy sucks. My DH drives 60+ miles one way to work everyday, he drives for a living and turns around and drives 60 miles home. We finally brokedown and bought a new car because it was cheap to buy brand new then for him to continue to drive his SUV. Isn't that ridiculous!!! I won't even start in on my political view on why we are in this mess....LOL. You and your family and the situation you are in are in my deepest of prayers.

I really appreciate all of your support. I don't have family that I feel I can confide in and to most people it would seem foolish to tell people on the internet your problems but sometimes just letting people know helps relieve some of the stress. Thanks
