Should I be worried that every sip is hurting in my chest, like I need to burp?  I'm just home from surgery from Aug. 2.  I think it's just gas but not sure.  I also get this foamie stuff up sometimes after sips.  What's wrong?? Steffanie

I would call your surgeon to get a piece of mind. They can tell  you if all is ok or they want to see you again. Keep us posted.

Hi Steph,    I surely remember this. It took me a good 3 weeks to feel better from the gas pains. As for the foamies I had those too. You body has just been through a very serious surgery; but to reasure yourself please call your DR or PA. Sometimes they have to put a lot of air in there to get around while doing our surgery; it isn't exactly in your stomach so it has to work it's way out! Walking more helps a little. So sorry you are miserable with this. Take care and keep us posted. Hugs, Judy R

Feeling much better this morning!  Thank goodness, I thought I'd die yesterday from the pain.  It's just gas I can feel it and HEAR it moving about in there.  How strange........... it seemed to have settled in my chest yesterday.  I am walking alot around here.  I'm still happy I did this!  Thanks for suggestions and help!  It's sure appreciated!!  Steffanie

Hi Steffanie!  I'm glad that your home and on your way to recovering:)  I did a lot of crushed ice and popsicles right after surgery. The tiny sips are absolutely the hardest thing and if you take too big of a sip, it hurts:(  It does get better every day! Take care, Amy

Yes,     You can hear and feel all that air in there; and it is very strange! It may take a while to get all gone so be patient! Take care of yourself.. You will feel better soon. Hugs, Judy R
