Take care of yourself.......
I won't get into a debate about this, but just wanted to put my two cents in. I grew up going to a chiropractor. As with any medical professional, you have to be careful who you go to. I have had nothing but good experiences with a chiropractor. Would I return to a chiro that cracked my ribs? NO. My chiropractor is VERY gentle. No wrenching of bones, etc. I go to the chiro when I need to. I don't go every month, week or whatever.
We all have our opinions and experiences. I think it's more important that people are WELL INFORMED in regards to any medical professional they are seeking. Just as we did, hopefully, with our WLS.

the first time I slipped in a hot tub and fractured them
the second time I dismounted off a horse too close to the saddle and due the
my fragile frame, they fractured again.
how could this stand up in a court?
its happened before
same ribs
same side
why would i want to pursue this?
she didnt do this on purpose
ITS MY FRAGILE BONES
she knew you had fragile bones. she knew about it. what the heck is she doing putting you through something that stresses your well known and previously broken bones????
again, i don't know what she did. but if it was because of her treatment that's just seriously upsetting. your in pain, you can't ride and it's because a visit to your trusted doctor?
i have a fragile condition in my neck and everything i read warns chiropractors NOT to manipulate it. They know not to do it. The chiropractor i saw did it anyhow. If it was a situation like that, she's a danger to her patients.

i've been warning people about chiropractors forever it seems. it's not hard to find the research to show that their entire school of thought is based on a sham that even most chiropractors no longer believe in (sublaxation theory) as well as plenty of research to show that they're just plain DANGEROUS. I've had my neck problems for along time but they were never half this bad till i had a GP who insisted i try a chiropractor before he would do anything else to help me. I wanted to be cooperative and years later i'm still paying the price.
If you think you need a chiropractor, ask your doctor to send you for physical therapy. it's real, it works and it's safe.
i'm sorry you're hurting Stacy.
It won't help your pain but i suggest you contact a lawyer. you're suffering because you trusted a "doctor". that's not right.

Jay,
Thanks for the advice. I'll check it out sometime in the future.
Right now I don't wish to pursue this in a legal sense.
And I have tried physical therapy and that doesn't work for me.
Different things work for different people.
I know I'm hurting, and when it's all said and done then maybe.
Right now, I choose not to.
But thanks!

you had the wrong pt then if you felt a chiropractor helped. physical therapists can guide your joints into place GENTLY and achieve the same results as a chiropractor without the mumbo jumbo cancer/cold cures and violent manipulations.
It took me a long time to find a therapist who was good but i've found a GREAT one through Beaumont.
Good luck Stacy.
