I love you folks, because you are so informative, so if I may pick your brains for a couple of questions. I will be 4 weeks out as of this Friday, still on puree.  Tonight for dinner, I had an egg, mixed with 2 tablespoons of non fat dry milk, and a 1/4 cup of skim  total of 13 grams of protein.  After eating it, it feel full, but I get terrible pains in my back.  Am I eating too much?  Stretching my pouch?  Or is this normal. Second question:  I have lost 29 lbs in 3 1/2 weeks and I've been stuck for a week at 29 lbs.  Is this normal. Thanks.

1. Too fast  or too big of a bite or both. 2. It's all normal.  The weight you are at now must have been a significant point on your way up. You will start again. Edit - It's probably gas. Take a walk and fart. kp

I read your story and love the way you speak so regularly - as in, "take a walk and fart"!   people don't quite know what to do when I talk like that in the office (don't do it alot but every once in awhile ya just gotta be real).

Karen, Can't guys just get away with that???  I just took a walk on the tred mil but didn't accomplish the second half of KP's advice.    I tend to be that brutally honest also.  It's fun sometimes. P

Is it the first time you had eggs?? I had a problem for awhile with them...didn't matter how small the bite, how much I chewed or even how slowly I ate them.  My pouch simply did not like that I was putting them in there.  Later when I attempted again, I tried them poached and it was better.  Boiled, even better than that.  Scrambled still gives me problems...I don't know why.  I also have an ulcer, so a lot of different foods bother my pouch, and I'll get pains in my back.  I try to make note of those foods and avoid them...some times it's just a grouchy pouch so I have to live with it.  I'd call the doc and ask if there were any indications of an ulcer and see what the recommendation is.  Much luck to you!!
