Real Estate Blues
UUUgh, my house has been on the market since December and no nibbles. I know there is a slump in housing but geeeze...its depressing.
I still visit the Michigan boards and lurk from time to time and get a chuckle or two from you all....it helps as I grit my teeth to send a payment on my house up there!!!!!
Hi Tracey,
Our home is located in Monroe cty in a village called Ida. We looked 3 yrs before buying and knew the school was excellent and felt settled finally,,,then boom a transfer. It is right across the school and was great for the kids walking to and fro. I had the track to walk so it was ideal ...sigh,,,it is just going to take time. It was also a great commute to Detroit Metro airport for hubby,,country feel with all that charm that goes with it...
Hi all I am A Real Estate Agent in Mi and it is tough out there, you have to have the best for the least at this time, your market should be re evaluated every week or two weeks, you are competing with bank repos who are causing our values to be reduced,Your agent needs to market agressively however needs your help and blessings to do this, each month your home doesn't sell probably costs 1,000 or much more, I will be on vac till the 30th but if you need any help please feel free to email me privately, Marcia Dyer, 2008 President of "The North Oakland County Board of Realtors"

I know she can't conjure up people to look at it and continue to be hopeful because it has to turn around sometime. I wish you lived in Monroe cty!! I am also aware that it's going to have to take someone that wants a small country village but I thought with it being so close to Toledo that it'd not only draw Mi but Ohio hopefuls as well....
Mine's going up for sale in the next couple of weeks. We don't have quite the slump here in Central Michigan like downstate so I'm hoping for a quick sale. We're going to price it for a quick, aggressive sale so I'm hoping some Ferris State parent buys it for their kid. Also, a house with one acre priced under $60,000 (it's a doublewide) should be pretty attractive to people looking for a first house. We don't owe on our house so it can sit here for as long as we want it. We'll just blow out the water lines for winter. I have a home for our pond fish and plants so it's no big deal.
