Any one out there ride a bike?

I recently bought a bike and have really been enjoying riding it - - hey! I finally found an exercise that I actually like, LOL. I've been going out to Metro Beach (16 & Jefferson) and riding the bike path there which is great for a beginner like me because it's pretty much flat.  I was wondering if there any of you who might be interested in meeting out there and riding together?  We could even make a pot-luck sort of picnic out of it if you want  there are picnic areas with grills and there's a beach if anyone wants to swim. Let me know, I'd love to have some cycling buddies.  I'm sure I'm going to go on Saturday morning sometime (unless it's raining). Karen

Bit out of the way for me, but I am in the same frame of mind.   I joined a gym, and use a recumbant bike there 2 times a week.  Its good for my arthritic knee.  I walk on one other day, and swim the other.   Enjoy your bike riding while you can.

I would be up for it but unforunately I wor****il 12 every Saturday. If it was in the afternoon after 1 I could make it no problem. Suzanne

i'd love to too, but i work every sat. until four or five.  Wouldn't want to make anyone wait for me.  I could go myself, though cause i work on sixteen and van dyke.

Well, Suzanne responded above that sometime after 1 would be okay and I don't mind at all waiting until evening.  It is supposed to be a beatiful day tomorrow!  How about trying for 6 p.m.?  I'll keep checking this thread through today so we can confirm a time - - I'm going to be off-site at a meeting for most of this afternoon so it may be evening before I can get back to you.  If you want to PM me I'll be glad to give you my phone number.

I can wait till the evening that is not a problem or we can try for a Sunday morning too. Does not bother me either way.  I am heading up north for the weekend. YIPPEE! First time all summe so I am giddy galore. I will look for responses when I get back. Suzanne

I'd like to come also, but I need to find tires for my bike.  I know that they are dry rotted.   A neighbor said that he'd put them on for me.  Also, it won't be this Saturday because I have to wor****il at least 3:30. Jeanne

Hi Jeanne, Girl, get those tires fixed - - I need riding buddies!!!  If we could find a good time for all of us, I'd be willing to try and meet every Saturday!  I'm really diggin' the bike. Karen
