i have been so smug that i have had so few problems since surgery....but something is stuck.  I ate meat last night  for dinner and i think something is stuck at my stoma.  I have been vomiting ever few hours--i dont really hurt except to just feel like i will vomit at any moment........i have been trying water but it just sits in me for a few minutes and then i vomit it up.  please tell me this will pass (so to speak)..........rae

Papaya enzyme worked well for me the 2 times I got something stuck.  I bought it at GNC.  If it gets too bothersome, please call your doc.  Hope it passes quickly.

Did you buy some, or did it finally work itself out?? I'm glad you're finally getting some relief!! It is NOT a pleasant feeling to say the least!

How did you get it "unstuck"?  Was it the Papaya enzyme?

I am so glad happy for you that it passed.  I know it is a miserable feeling.  I just thought aI would post something my doctor told me that might help.  While we are not suppose to drink pop anymore.....he told me to take a couple SMALL sips of Diet .  The carbonation will help dislodge it.  He said it need to ne Diet Coke.  It is sugar free, as well as highly carbonated.  Just be careful how much you drink.  Too much carbonation can make you miserable too! i am not sure which resulted in the success.  I decided to try the diet coke hoping that maybe the carbonation would work and did the papaya.......so i am not sure what worked to make it go away......but finally it did--i actually think it dislodged and i eliminated it vomiting........i was kind of using the pop like a washing out............i knew when i was drinking fluids that they werent goingthru--that i was just vomiting them up again within about 15 minutes of sipping.......but i do think the carbonation--and the corrosive behavior of the diet pop in general :)  (dont some people put it in the toilet to help take off stains!)  might help to dislodge............so whichever worked, it worked......my poor little tummy is just sore now.feels like someone was kicking me all nite and day!  but i am not complaining.i am just so relieved to be relieved!  thank you so much for your concern and also to Shawneena for the recommendations....you guys are the best!  hugs rae
