Gaylord Area Support Group Summer BBQ Tuesday, July 24, 2007 6:30 - 9:00 pm at Kathy Anderson's house, 3 miles north of Gaylord  (RSVP to get full directions) Anyone who has had or plans to have WLS is welcome, as are family members.   Bring your own drink and a dish to pass We'd love to see some new faces!!

Hi Rona, My name is Kathy and I have beenleading  the support group in Gaylord for the past 6 years.  Tomorrow is my 7th. year anniversary for my open RNY!  YEAH!  At surgery time, I was 314 pounds and am now around 143-145.  I am 6' tall and wear a size 4.  But besides all of that, I feel so much better getting all that weight off and being able to keep it off.  Getting back to the support group (my how I tend to digress)  Our meetings are usually the 4th Tuesday of the month from 6:30- around 8:00.  If you can't make it there right at 6:30 or can't stay the whole time, that is fine.  We meet at the conference room in the Sportsplex.  We would love to see you there.  We have a small group of pretty faithful people who have been coming for years.  We always welcome new faces and new perspectives on things.  Try to come to the BBQ if you can.  It wil be a great opportunity to meet people on an informal setting, plus you can bring you family if you have one.  Hope to see you there or at an up-coming meeting. I didn't even know there was a support group in Gaylord ! ! ! Would you mind telling me when and where ? I have been trying to attend the ones in Traverse but with work, gas prices, kids, etc it's been real hard to find the time and money.  I don't know if I will be able to make it to the bbq but will check my schedule.
