SPENT THE DAY IN ER
WELL I ENDED UP IN HURLEY'S ER THIS MORNING. THEY THOUGHT I HAD A STRICTURE AND WERE GOING TO ADMIT ME. I WOULD HAVE HAD TO WAIT TO HAVE THE TEST ON MONDAY.
WHICH I WASN'T REAL HAPPY ABOUT. THEN DR. MINASIAN GOT INVOLVED AND GOT THE GASTROENOLOGIST TO COME IN AFTER HIS OFFICE HRS. TO SCOPE ME THIS EVENING. ENDS UP I HAVE AN ULCER IN MY POUCH. GUESS I NEVER REALIZED THAT ULCERS COULD MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE SOMETHING WAS STUCK. THEY EXPLAINED THE FEELING YOU GET WITH SOME AND THAT IS A FULL FEELING ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP OF YOUR THROAT. YEAH I GUESS THAT'S HOW I FELT, FORGOT WHAT THAT FELT LIKE I GUESS.
SO ANYWAYS I'M HOME AND WILL START ON MEDS TO HEAL THE ULCER AND HOPEFULLY BE FEELING BETTER SOON. WHAT A CRAPPY WAY TO SPEND MY BIRTHDAY, BUT WHAT DID I EXPECT AFTER ALL IT IS FRI. THE 13TH.
THANKS ALL FOR YOUR REPLIES URGING ME TO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. I DON'T THINK I COULD HAVE GONE THROUGH ANOTHER NIGHT LIKE LAST THOUGH.
THANKS,
FRANKIE

Frankie,
Did they test you for h.pylori ? That was the reason I have ulcers now in my jejunum. I have had trouble since Oct. of last year and I can hardly eat now. I have lost lots of weight, but I know I am not doing good, getting almost too thin. They can give you antibiotics for the bacteria to prevent more ulcers, but you are lucky that your ulcer is in your pouch as it will heal alot better than mine. The placement of my ulcer is very bad, so please ask so you can get the antibiotics before you develope more trouble.
Wendy
Hi Frankie,
OMG, this is a memory for me! In march on my birthday I had the same thing happen! I was hospitalize with serve dehydration, and pain. It turned out that I had an ulcer and a stricture! I agree, what a crappy birthday. Sorry you had to go through that. You should begin to feel much better shortly! You aren't the only one that this has happened too, but how many of us have to go through it on our birthday!!! Wishing you a speedy recovery, Hugs, Judy R
