Psych eval locations

Can anyone tell me who does Psych evals in the Battle Creek/Kalamazoo area? The psych eval is the only thing I am awaiting on. If I was to call a Psychiatry office to schedule an appointment, will they know what I will need? Thanks

HI BT....CALL YOUR WLS AND SEE IF THEY HAVE ONE THAT THEY PREFER THAT YOU GO TO..IF THEY DON'T CARE WHERE YOU GO...THEN CALL AROUND AND ASK THEM IF THEY DO PSYCH EVALUATIONS FOR PEOPLE WANTING TO HAVE WLS. THAT IS WHAT I DID AND THEN WHEN I WENT TO MMPC THEY HAD ONE OF THEIR OWN THAT THEY WANTED ME TO SEE (THEY WOULDN'T USE THE ONE I ALREADY HAD DONE)....SO I HAD 2 PSYCH EVALS. GOOD LUCK!!!! HUGS JUDY

Judy, Thanks for the information. I am thinking that Barix wouldnt care where I get it done since its only be doing to satisfy my insurance. So just simply asking the Psych office if they do evals for people considering WLS will siffice? Thanks

I WOULD CHECK WITH BARIX BEFORE YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT INCASE THEY WON'T ACCEPT IT FROM WHERE YOU GO. BEST TO HAVE IT DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME SO NOT TO DELAY YET AGAIN...... AND YEAS JUST TELL THEM THAT YOU WANT AN EVALUATION FOR WLS THAT WAY THEY WILL LET YOU KNOW IF THEY EVALUATE FOR THAT.
