where???

recommendations for surgeons..in michigan...I am in Sault Ste. Marie, and am leaning toward RNY any feedback would be appreciated... and the next steps....?? thanks sooo much

Pilkington MD, did a wonderful job of preparing me and the surgery went great. He is in central MI so again, not sure how far you are willing to travel. Remember, many visits pre op and post op when you have RNY so keep that in mind when finding the right surgeon for your needs. There are numerous facilities that cater to Bariatric Surgeries, that truly are involved in the patients well being, one of those being Barix Clinic/Forest Health Medical Center in Ypsilanti. I had my abdominoplasty there but, my bosses wife had her RNY there and I was quite jealous at how well she was treated!!! And I saw that care when I had my TT. It's a long drive for you from the Soo but..........if you want it bad enough, you'll go anywhere the care is superb!!! I heard great things about Grand traverse Surgeons in Traverse city, I am thinking distance for you also and munson is a really nice hospital, Featherstone, Slikers, and Nizzi are ther names plus Mary kate is the coordinator of the program, tricia
