When I was talking to Rebecca this morning, she told me that because her VCR wasn't working she had been unable to view the video that comes with the patient information kit for Lovenox. I remembered that it is on line on the DMC website so here is the link: http://www.michiganorthopaedic.org/miosh/contact/lovenox.html Wouldn't you think that the drug company would update there packaging. Who uses VCR nowdays? And it's much cheaper to put it on a DVD or CD. Jeanne

I was curious where the information kit is supposed to come from...I got none. No VHS or DVD. :P

Your surgical company was supposed to provide you one during your orientation. They are also supposed to give a give demonstration of how to administer the shots. kp

Thanks...I figured as much. They were supposed to give me a sharps container and never did that either. When I called, they said just put them in a bag and bring them in when you come for your appointment. I have a 4 year old son...I didn't appreciate that much. Thankfully I had enough sense to put them high out of his sight and reach. Not everyone is as quick thinking...which is scary to me.

I'm surprised the head dolt didn't tell you to just drop them in the garbage. kp

Shawn, I had to ask for mine and make a special trip to CORI to get it. Well it wasn't exactly special they had to redo my FMLA papers because my illness delayed the surgery. How are you doing? Sorry that you had to be readmitted. I was away probably when you got admitted. Jeanne

Jeanne!! I'm sorry I never thanked you again for coming to see me. It was a great help...so THANK YOU!! I'm feeling better now. I'm still on full liquids, but hopefully that will change after my appt. tomorrow with Dr. Taylor. I'll tell you, I was scared to death before they readmitted me...I of course thought the worst, that my insides ripped apart and I was going to bleed to death right there...LOL. Thankfully it was an ulcer and something that could be treated. I tell you, I'd never seen so much blood in my life, except for when I donated it. The staff at Harper were great, Dr. Taylor is great...just the "office people" at CORI leave something to be desired, I'm learning. Thanks for responding and for checking up on me. I hope all is well with you.
