Okay, Did I miss something????
Remember when they had the Florida office. And the Jackson Office. And the Sterling Heights office. And the Garden City office. And the NY Office???
Their financial report from 2004 stated and expected opening of 20 centers throughout the US by December 2006. Looks like it didn't pan out.
I called it in March of last year.
I would do your best to get your records this week.
It looks like more of the same.

I agree WHY move and not tell patients of the move?????????? I have an appointment at the end of the month and I would love to know where it is I am supposed to be going. I find it strange that there was no "announcement" as to the new location or the fact that they were plannning on moving in the first place! Do you by chance know where it is they are moving to? The new location may make it necessary to change my appointment

Dawn,
I know that Dana told me at one of the support groups that she was going to become webmaster and handle the boards and revamp them. That may be what they are doing.
Hopefully monitor the message boards better so that they don't get the spam on them.
Dana works PR and the support groups.

They are not a doctor's office. They are a business. They are part of MSO holdings and run their office like a business. Know one new about any of the previous changes and what they did tell employees was not true anyway.
In a business the bottom line is the business and in a doctor's office the bottom line is the health of the patient.
The business at it's peak was contracted with DMC to turn a profit. Until they were connected DMC lost money on the bariatric program. They peaked out in early 2005 and slowly drifted down overtime. Each lay-off was connected with falling surgeries. They were told at the office prior to my wife's leaving that they would have to 100 a month but they never got over 70.
A doctor's office says they would like to cure/save 100 people a month regardless of cost.
Here's a link to a bariatric seminar that shows what I am talking about.

I bet they fold up pretty quick.

I am so glad i didn't go with cori. This crap has gone on so long, hopefully it is the end. Make sure you guys get your files, and everyone planning on surgery there, take this as to what your after care would be like. Too many ppl have been screwed from them already. Sorry, just my two cents.
Hugs
Linda
