Has anyone been to him for lapband? I see that he dose mostly rny. Rea

Hi Rea, He did my RNY, and I liked him very much....I know he does lapband, but I do believe most of his are RNY. He did explain his lapband procedure to us during our meeting with him. Mitzie

He did my RNY too. He's wonderful. The CORI program does lap band surgeries but I think (not positive) they have another surgeon who does them.

I had my consult with Dr. Wood and he actually made it sound as if he DOES do the procedure himself. That is what I am having done (hopefully). He also stated in the consult that he trained with the top people in Belgium on the procedure so I feel comfortable putting myself in his hands. He is great.

I have my consult at the end of Jan. When are you schedualed for surgery? Thanks for the response Rea

I haven't scheduled the surgery yet. I still need the Letter of Support from my PCP and she is being a little slow about getting it to me. I also had to quit smoking and I am officially 18 days non-smoking and CORI will not even submit my paperwork for approval until I am 30 days. So I only have 12 more days to wait and it also gives me 12 more days to get the letter.
