St Mary Mercy Support Group

Our meeting is Thursday, January 4th @ 7:00 p.m. Finally a meeting I think I can make it to. It's not on a cub scout night, the holidays are over and I don't have anything else planned. I am looking forward to seeing everyone. I weighed myself this morning and I'm down 80.5 lbs in 4 months! I actually lost 5 lbs over the holidays! This has been the best year ever! Stacey B

Is this strictly for people who had surgery at St. Mary Mercy? This would be convenient for me, it is right around the corner from my house. I'm 3-1/2 years out and feel a support group would be helpful. I had my surgery thru CORI and going out to Warren for a 7 pm meeting is out of the question; it's too far.

Anybody is welcome to come and they say you can bring 1 to 2 support people with you. They have a topic they discuss and usually they have a speaker. They also have a new food for you to try. The people at St Mary Mercy are so wonderful. Come and join us. Stacey B

Where at St Mary's is the support group meeting? I can definitely make it.

It was good to get back to a support meeting. I really need to get back on track. I think this will force me to be more accountable. It sounds like the program at Michigan Bariatric Centers (St Mary Mercy) is a good one with lots of support. At CORI, we didn't get that. Once I had my surgery and follow up visits for the first 6 weeks, that was it. No support groups, nutritionists, etc. They now have a nutritionist on board, but the appt. is $120 per visit.
