What did YOU do last night???

I had the night off from hosting karaoke! Believe it or not, it was the first New Years Eve I didn't work in a bar in 27 years! I have always either been playing/singing in my band or hosting karaoke. So in all honesty, it was a much-needed change to just stay home and relax. I crocheted a scarf and drank a little wine! (you should see the scarf this morning!!!) Just kidding! The scarf and I both made it thru amazingly well. Talked to hubby and the kids on the phone before midnight. Mike had to play downstate, but I just didn't want to be in the bar if I didn't "have" to be....Plus he had to leave early in the day to set up the equipment because they were playing in a fancy restaurant and had to be set up before the dinner crowd. I definately didn't want to sit around all day watching him set up drums...did enough setting up of my own over the years! He understood completely! So, mostly a very nice evening....did feel a little meloncoly though, as it neared midnight...never have been alone on New Year's Eve before...very weird, but it was okay. So, what did you do? Also, what is your resolution? What are you going to try to do better this year? Mine?.....Surprise!! (Ha!Ha!...I know you all can guess!) I am going to: 1. Get all my fluids in each day. 2. Get back to basics on food choices and measuring. 3. No more "grazing"! 4. I will do "something" active everyday. Walk, housework, park further away, anything that keeps me more active. Well, I got home from work around 415pm, went to the grocery store where 2 ladies had their purses stolen so I watched as the police arrived and asked questions to people. Then I paid for my stuff and went home, watched some TV and popped in "LOVE,Actually" starring Hugh Grant, and then had some dinner, (pork cutlet and mashed taters)..... watched more movie and by 910pm was in bed sound asleep by 10pm. I had to get up this AM at 5am and get ready for work at 6am....hadn't packed my lunch so I had to get up 15 min early for that. Didn't ring in the new year, didn't drink, didn't party, didn't do nothing with no one. Never have, never will, (ok, that is not a permanent), and don't drink so..................why bother? Oh, I did manage to take down the rest of my Christmas Decorations last night. So now we are holiday free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy First Day of 2007 and may we all be happier! My Goals this year: 1. To have the a little revision on my abdominoplasty. 2. To fit into a size 8 bridesmaid dress for the wedding I'm in June 23, 2007 in Canada. 3. To wear a size 8 jeans that zip and button, preferably Tommy Hilfiger Jeans!!!!!!!!! 4. To walk more often no matter what the weather is! 5. To spend more time generating the funds I need to fund my love for horses!!! happy new year to all!! Stacey W

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!! You could have called me! I was up ALL night. Wonderful Insomnia!!!! Jim and I went out with friends at 6:30 to Matthews at the Club for dinner and was home by 9. Sat around by ourselves and watched tv. Played games on the puter and wondered if anyone else was just sitting around. Kids texted and called after midnigh****ched Ice Age until 4 am. Maybe I should take up knitting. Probably could have a whole closet of clothes. I am not making any New Years resolutions because I NEVER keep them so I am going to go on with my daily struggles and hope for the best. Hello, again, Theresa! Yesterday, my wonderful friend SHANNON and her hubby came over! We had taco salad. We played games. We enjoyed some adult beverages. They went home around 10, I think. Then Shannon and I chatted on yahoo for a while....LOL!!!! I think we logged off around 11....could barely keep our eyes open. Hubby and I watched some tv and rang in the new year *together*! If I were to actually set some resolutions, one of them would be to UTILIZE the gym membership I pay for every month! LOL!! Or at least go more than I do already. Hubby and I are working on that, together. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I got home from work round 8pm hubby and girls 3 and 8 were waithing for me to start the party!!!! we ate junk, and watched rocking new yrs eve. danced to all the songs lol.....watched the ball drop ran outside crashed pots and pans YELLED HAPPY NEW YEAR and draink champagne(SP) with toats all around!!! on of the bests new yrs eve partys I've been too!!!!!! This is the yr to get back to the family!!!! the job is not more important!! The ladders don't matter.Its about family and really living LIFE OUR LIFE!!!! JENNY B WISE

OMG...Jenny! We used to do the pots and pans things when I was a kid, too! My mom would get them out on New Year's eve and those were our noise makers. My hubby and I were just talking about that yesterday. I jokingly told him I was gonna do that, but he didn't know what I was talking about. I explained our little family tradition. I thought we were the only ones that did that! LOL!! Memories....light the corners of my mind....Misty, water-colored memories...of the way we were....LOL!!

I stayed home and fell asleep about 10pm...dont know what Tina is talking about...

Neither do I! And I have another whole week off to do nothing! Yay, me! Hey, why you talking to me here? I can't keep track of two conversations...here and Yahoo messenger....Oh, I know.
