1. Do you prefer Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot Chocolate definately!!! 2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? well "Santa" wraps presents but the tree is empty until late Christmas eve. 3. Colored or White lights on your tree/house? colored on the tree and white outside 4. Do you hang mistletoe? Nope 5. When do you put your decorations up? Day after Thanksgiving 6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? don't have one 7. What was your favorite Holiday memory as a child? ugh, really don't have one. my childhood sucked!! 8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I never believed in Santa 9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Nope 10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? I used to be very picky about my tree decorating, telling the kids exactly where to put the decorations. But I've lightened up. This year, we got the tree out and let the kids do 100% of it!!! 11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? HATE IT!!!!!! 12. Can you ice skate? YUP, we're going ice skating (indoor rink) next week. 13. Do you remember your favorite gift? nope 14. What is your favorite holiday tradition? SHOPPING!! haha, just kidding. My favorite tradition is having a birthday party for Jesus on Christmas day. 17. What tops your tree? A star 18. At our house everything was always wrapped, I decided to never lie to my kids about there being a Santa Claus, I didn't want them to think I was lying to them about Jesus as well !!!! So Santa Claus was just a fantasy story book figure. 3. Colored or White lights on your tree/house? White this year, but sometimes I do colored lights too. The minature tree in my room has colored lights which act as a great night light. 4. Do you hang mistletoe? Not this year 5. When do you put your decorations up? This year I had to move things to my apartment from my home so I did it early while I was putting things into storage. Normally the day after Thanksgiving! 6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Potatoes AuGrautin made by my dad, it is the one time I will actually eat onions in something. 7. What was your favorite Holiday memory as a child? Being with my grandmother at her house in Tennessee 8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? When I was about 5, and it brought so many doubts to me as to whether or not my parents were telling the truth about God, the tooth fairy, etc, that I decided to not start that with my kids. 9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? In our home we always were allowed to empty our stockings on Christmas Eve and one gift, parents choice of course!! 10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? Very traditional, mostly old figural ornaments from Italy and Germany that we have collected from Frankenmuth over the past 28 years. Note: It was hard to decide who got what this year as we divided the ornaments 4 ways. One set to me, one stayed with my ex, one to my daughter in NC and the other to my sons new apartment (and he is in Colorado on tour and wont even be home for Christmas) 11. Snow! I sure do a Tiny Tears doll when I was about 6 years old, I have a picture of me, my grandmother and my sister in front of Grandma's tree with Tiny Tears in my arms. 14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? This year it was to be with my family, as I am writing this I am sitting in my sisters mansion in Kentucky overlooking the Green River!! This house is so huge. I have my own suite complete with 2 Christmas trees and a sitting room that has a kitchenette, entertainment center, and pool table, just up 4 stairs is a full gym I can work out every morning. the family room here has more square footage than my entire apartment 15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Used to be sugar cookies!! Now I make sugar free pecan pie from the bariatric eating web site. 16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? The pickle ornament and gift. The last one to bed at night can not participate but must hide the pickle ornament on the tree somewhere, and in this house there are ten trees so it might be rather fun!! There is a rather universal gift for the person who finds the pickle ornament. This was a tradition started when our kids were little the gift would have been a game or christmas ornament that was special for that year , now that they are all grown, it is an adult game. I went with my sister to buy the pickle gift yesterday, looks like its an American Express gift card with quite a healthy sum on it, I certainly hope I win!!! 17. What tops your tree? An Angel 18.
