Downriver did I miss something

I have not posted in a while with work and school. I'm out of school until Jan so I was able to try to attend a group meeting lastnight. I went to the Big Boy in southland and nobody was there and waitress looked at me like she did not know what I was talking about. I went back twice and called once. So I did some shopping and went home. Was everybody late and I did not stay long enough or was I just the only one who showed up?

This happened at the meeting last time too! There were quite a few people who were upset because no one showed up or posted anything. I just moved back to the Downriver area and thought about attending but not now! That's just rude! Stacey B

Atleast I got some good shopping done. I treated myself to a pedicure. But I was looking forward to meeting with everybody. I was just disappointed

Hi Stacey! I'm sorry you're getting the impression that any of us are rude...we aren't. Sometimes things happen unexpectedly and the 2 times that Jane ended up with just Rebecca and then by herself were just such times for several of us. I've apologized to her profusely and I promised her we'd be there this past meeting...and we were. I'm not sure how she missed us, or why the hostess told Dayja she didn't know about us, but we were there. Rebecca and her husband were there just before my husband and me, she and I sat outside the restaurant for about 20 min., then the guys came back and we all went in, requesting seating for 8...they pulled everything together for us and it ended up being just the 4 of us. Please reconsider your decision and come and join us this month. We really are a nice group of people and would love to get to know you! Sincerely, Lizzie B

I ate at Olga's (Asian chicken was yummy!), did some shopping and lurked outside the Big Boy until about ten after seven. Didn't see anyone and left to head for another mall. The good news was that I got a couple presents and a new coat on sale at Macy's. I am giving up on the Downriver group, but I'm always willing to get together with others informally. Sorry I missed you.

Did you come in with your daughter or a little girl. Because I saw a lady around that way with a little girl and I thought maybe it was someone from the group but I did not feel comfortable walking up. I'm sorry I missed you too. Like I said I was looking forward to it.

Nope, no kids for me but Rebecca sometimes brings her granddaughter. But if I didn't look like I belonged, I'll take that as a wow! I'm middle aged, had my coat and a bag or two on the bench next to me. I think I met you when I was just pre surgery, sorry I missed you last night.

It's okay everyone...we were there and wondered where you all were. Rebecca and I were outside of Big Boy from about 6:30 to 6:50, then our husbands joined us. We saved seats for 8, waited until about 7:05 to order and were there until a little after 8pm. Jane, I promised you we'd be there no matter what, and we were. I'm sorry if you all didn't see us, maybe if you'd stepped in and asked you would have been directed to us, because they knew we were "that diet group" . Dayja, I don't know why that happened with the hostess, because we definitely let them know we were expecting more people. So let's not throw in the towel, here...nobody is trying to be rude or difficult. We have an excellent group of people and we don't want to lose that because of mix-ups or miscommunications! Our next meeting will be Wednesday, Jan. 17th at 7pm, same place, okay?? I'll post on the 12th and again on the 15th or 16th and we'll get a chance to see each other, talk and catch up with each other, okay?! God bless you all, we'll work this out! Lizzie B

Okay next time you have to make a big sign that says DAYJA THIS WAY (laughing). I was a little disappointed. I dont have school that night so I will attend. Talk with you soon.
