Hey Westland Winners

I guess we're going to have to find a new meeting place. I was at Best Buy today and looked over to see Denny's all boarded up and a for sale sign in the front. I suppose that's for the best.....they were questionable at best. Are we planning to get together in January? Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it. Brenda

Brenda, What city does the westland winners meet in? Since I am closing in on getting scheduled for surgery, I need to find support group meetings to attend. Thanks

Hey Curt, I have only met with the Westside Winners once, and that was at Denny's in Westland. There are tenitive plans to meet the first Friday of each month and then walk on Saturdays at Westland Mall. Annette Lewis usually organizes the group, I believe. You should get in touch with her. It's sort of an informal meet and talk group, which can be a great help after surgery. Brenda

did you check with another local restaurant..like Rams Horn. The manager there is so nice...and the restaurant is soooooooooooo clean. Its right down the road south of Warren.

Rams Horn sounds good to me, especially if it has gone nonsmoking like the one in Farmington. Let's see what Annette says. There's a place on Wayne Rd. north opf there called Ranas. Good food but I don't know how late they stay open. This is a very casual group, and all are welcome to join us! Lots of good conversation and unstructured support. We plan on walking at 10 am starting January 3 inside Westland Mall. Perhaps followed by some shopping.... Curt, join us, especially after we decide where we will meet! Annette is our leader, I'm just an instigator.
