Need help...
Hi Theresa,
I take 2 vitamins (Centrum select) when I wake up in the morning. 3 hours later I take 2 Caltrate(sp?) 3 hours later I take 2 hair skin and nails formula, 3 hours later I start the cycle over. It takes me 18 hours a day to get in all of my supplements. Don't take Iron with calcium wait 3 hours in between them. Hope this helps.
God bless,
Annette
I don't have to take any thyroid meds but here is my supplement schedule: around 7 a.m., I chew 1 Centrum Kid's Complete and one baby aspirin. A half hour later, I swallow my prilosec, atenolol, and plavix with a gulp of water. At around 1pm, I chew 1 centrum kids complete and dissolve my 500mg B-12 under my tongue. Around 4 pm, I chew 2 Tums Bone health. At dinner, I chew another centrum kids complete and take my Crestor. I'm done...very simple. I got all my post-op labs back, and my iron is perfect...I fixed that by adding the 3rd centrum so I wouldn't have to take a supplement. The B-12 is great. I get the calcium from the Tums. Calcium needs magnesium to properly absorb, but should not be taken within 3 or so hours of taking the iron supplement, so those of you who have to take the extra iron may have to time them just so. I don't take any supplements that are not chewable or sublingual. We just don't absorb the caplet/capsule forms real well as their absorption requires that part of our gut that has been bypassed. Chewables are available as soon as you swallow them.
