Finally, plastics!!!

Well, after a year and a half of hard work and almost 200 pounds I am finally at the last stages of the metamorphosis. I am beginning my plastics starting with a tummy tuck and butt lift on the 6th of February! I know that I will want to have the breast lift and thigh lift done after that, but I have to come up with the 8-10 thousand dollars to do it! I already am shelling out the 3700 for the butt lift. I had to after I saw the picture of my backside the plastic surgeon took the last time I was in his office. I was absolutely appalled at how bad I looked back there! I have no ass, but what skin I have was in my thigh area and you could see the roll of tummy fat from the sides, it was awful! Plus if I do the butt lift the tummy tuck is more circumferential and I will lose more belly and my sides will have a tighter firmer look. I am terrified, but scared not to go through with all of this. Now if I could only win some kind of lotto or something!!!! LOL!! Probably have to get a loan, but I don't think I will mind making the payments on that one. Any plastics advice from those that have gone before me, would be very helpful. Especially anyone who has had the butt lift with the tt. I am a little nervous about that mu*****ision! Wendy

Woooooo Hooooooo WENDY!!!!!! Thats awesome. You've done a great job!!!! Not much advice on the plastics. Be prepared to take lots of pain meds!! It is a miserable first week or so, but I don't regret having my tt at all now!!! (and I'm sooooo jealous of you getting the butt lift, I'd love to have that done). Best of wishes for a complication free surgery and a speedy recovery!! Laurie

Hi, Wendy, I just had both done - at Hurley with dr. A along with a massive hernia repair. Surprisingly, I've had no pain at all from the butt lift. The enire incision is huge, but relatively pain free. My pain comes from the hernia repair. Since I, too, had large roll around sides, it would have left a hugh blob had I not had the backside lifted. I'm a 60 year old woman from Fenton who has been obese all my life, so this is really new to me. I even have a cute new belly button - instead of the old blob drooping in the old panni. Its been wonderful. Please don't hesitate to email me should you have any questions. Penny

Hi Penny! I grew up in Fenton, graduated in '87! Go Tigers! I would love to have a veteran help me through, especially one who had Dr. A do the surgery. I just read a scary post on the Plastic messageboard about a woman who had the butt lift done and bent over and tore open twice!!!! So I am freaking a little. I will send a request to add you to my friends list if this is ok? Thanks alot for the support. Wendy

Wendy, I had my abdominoplasty done October 27th, by Dr. Vincent DiNick MD, down at Barix in Ypsi. All I can tell you is the man is a total perfectionist, and superb at what he does. He has the manners that surpass any other plastic/reconstructive surgeon I've ever met (and I've met three to date), he has amazing staff and cares GREATLY about his patients. I would highly recommend him for all the work you seek to have done. I only had the abdominoplasty done due to insurance, however I know he can do much more. Don't hesitate to contact him or email Carey Poisson for information to schedule a consult. I have photos of before and after if you want to see them, just email me if you do. You look mahvelous and I wouldn't worry about the incisions as they do heal, and in time, perhaps vani**** is worth it in the end to see the results even though I'm just over 7 weeks post op from the TT, I can see such an improvement!!!! Email me anytime if you have any questions on what I had done. Stacey W 310/144

Thanks Stacey! I have a local doc set up to do the work. He is very experienced with wls patients and I have seen a lot of his work so I trust him. And my insurance requires I stay local, but I had considered Dr. DiNick for other work later on. When I am ready for that I will explore the possibility of a consult with him. Thanks for the support! Wendy
