Some Relatives/People!!!!!

My mother had her family Christmas last night! I have one uncle that always had to make a comment about how fat I was. Well last night he walks in a says, "Are you putting weight on?" I told him that I had not put weight on THANK YOU!! I left it at that but it really ticked me off! Later that night he started in on my mother and aunts. WELL I had had it! I have NEVER talked back to my elders because thats the way I was taught, but not last night!!! I let him have it with both barrels. I took him by surprise but enough was enough and I did it in front of everyone. Well later I had to call my mother to appolize for being so nasty. My mother says, "Well I just ignore him!" Well I told her I was sorry and that he really pissed me off and I was sick of it. She told me she knew I was bothered by what he said and told me that she was glad that I said something! So look out cruel world!! You say ONE thing about "fat" people and so help me, I am no longer keeping my mouth shut! My surgery has given me a new life which has made me a stronger person and all I can say is "Lord help the ignorant cause I am not holding back anymore!" Sorry for the rambling but as you can tell by the time, this has really bothered me and I knew you all would understand!!! Thanks for listening!!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!

I think we all hit our boiling point. I had a client at work after telling her I used to be heavy and lost a bunch of weight say to me that at least I can prove to other fat people that there is hope to loose the weight and keep it off. I did not dare tell her I did it with surgery since she was being so obnoxious about things. I just wish people would chill out about obese people. Sometimes I think they need to mind their own business. Good for you for standing up for yourself and your family. Suzanne

Thanks and most of the time it is from people that have never been heavy a day in their lives. Yeah I had a bunch of blood work done the other day and the girl was like "do you think they could find anything else wrong with you?" and I told her I had Gastric Bypass. She was a little surprised but did kindly ask me how much I had lost! I do like to tell some people just to watch the expression on their faces. Sometimes I have to go look in the mirror to make sure I have not sprouted three heads! How is the adoption going? Hopefully everything is going well!

Well our paperwork went to China in October but we do not have our log in date yet. There is some sort of delay with our agency. I don't know what. The wait times have increased as well. When we first started the process once you were logged in the wait time til referal was 12 months right now it is at 15-16 months and they are saying it will go up to 2 years. I am totally upset by that number. That is one of the reasons we went with China because the wait times were low compared to domestic and other international countries. Plus to think I have to wait even longer to become a Mom is so hard. I had the surgery so I would be a better mother and somedays I kick myself because I did not do it sooner in order to get my daughter. I am hoping things will change and the process will speed up but we never know. It has been very emotional for me right now. I hope to get that LID date before christmas but I wanted it before thanksgiving too. I just keep praying. Thanks for asking. I appreciate you caring enough to ask. Suzanne

Oh sweetie! Sorry that had to happen to you! And WHAT WAS HE THINKING ANYWAY??? You look fabulous!! He must have a screw loose. It was probably time he was put in his place. Did he try to respond to you?? I hope it humbled him some and taught him a lesson. But I understand...sometimes you just get fed up and can't listen to one more stupid thing from someone, especially if it has been going on for quite some time.
