Met with my surgeon (with hubby!)

And things went great ! Hubby was right there asking all the questions before I could LOL I think the surgeon really eased his mind. With or without the surgery I have risks and possible complications. But the complications from the surgery are better then what could happen if I don't have the surgery, JMO. So hubby is on board ! I am soooo happy and thank you all for your kind words. LOVE my surgeon ! He was very informative and patient with questions and concerns. He made us feel at ease and didn't feel rushed at all ( I hate when some drs are like that ). So I have some tests I have to complete first, sleep apnea, stress test, tube down the throat for acid reflux(sorry couldn't think of the name). And said as long as that all comes through good, we'll set a date. He said probably mid Feb, early March. WOO HOO ! Hope everyone is doing well ! ~~Rona

You are going to great surgeons and I am happy to here that your appointment went great and that your husbandis supporting you with the surgery Good luck with your up coming tests it will move fast and you will be on the looser bench really soon. Yay Rona! I'm so glad it worked out well! Always better to have the hubby on your side. Mine has een a god send this first week out- makes my shakes and times my meals better than me If your hubby wants - mine has offered his email addy if he wants another man to chat with about the crazy wife :D The testing is tedious but necessary- make sure you get your own copies of stuff too for your records! Hi Rona, I am also hoping for surgery in mid-Feb or early March and I am also hoping to have surgery at Munson. I am 51 with a BMI of 47.1 and all I have to have is the scope down the throat for Acid Reflux. Unfortunatley because of all of my health problems related to my weight...I have had all of the other tests. My biggest fear is that my insurance will cause some kind of problems. Is everything set with your Insurance? I hope everything goes well for you and maybe we can be roomies at Munson. p.s. I love this board. I never knew there were so many of us out there! Joni
