Hernia confirmed...

Yep, I have a small hernia near my belly button. I will be having it repaired by Dr. Carlin (my wls dr.) on Jan 15. I haven't had any bad episodes with the backup/bloating thing in about two weeks now, and it may have had to do with what I was eating, how I was eating it, etc. He doesn't think it's a blockage or scar tissue at this time. For now, he will repair the hernia and if I have another episode, we will go from there. I'm in no pain and eat and drink fine right now. No bowel problems, etc., so I'm not concerned either about a blockage or whatever. But don't worry, if I have a problem, I will contact him immediately. Right now we will tackle the hernia and go from there. So that's my update. Thanks to all for thinking of me! Hugs, Theresa

I'm glad you found out what the problem was....I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. My concerns have been around this incision issue trying to heal but not doing such a great job. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr However, I am as well as you are-- going to be fine. hugs to you

I am so excited to be seeing "my theresa"!!! I went to a new Dr last week and she says I have two hernias but we are going to keep an eye on them. One is in the TT lower anchor incision. She thinks they may also be some type of scar tissue so until they really start bothering me, I am going to leave them alone. All I need is MORE scar tissue. Talk soon!!!

I am glad to hear that you know what is wrong. Tell Dr. Carlin I said Hi! I will be going to see him myself soon. I need to make my year check up appointment soon, I am a little behind in doing that. LOL My year was up on Nov. 29th but I am sure it is no big deal if it is a little late. Its just hard to find the time right now with the Holidays and all.
