Nurse said NOT to worry?
I finally got time to call my dr's office to let them know what has been happening with the weight loss. For those of you who did not read my post a while back, I feel like I'm losing too much weight and its getting out of control. I have now went from a size 24 to a size 4 and even those are starting to get baggy. The nurse that I talked to said not to worry about it. She said that when the stressors (and let me tell you there are some major stressors) go away, things will stabilize. I am not sure this was good advice though. I am probably at 1 to 1 and a half cups per DAY of solid food. I do drink a lot of liquids though. I am at the point where I cannot go from sitting to standing without feeling like I am going to blackout, unless I move very slowly. I look at pictures of myself that people have taken of me and I honestly look way too thin. How do I eat with all of these major stressors going on in my life?? The thought of food makes me think about gaining weight and that makes me too sick to eat. Is it a control issue? Did I subconciously do this to myself and now this too is out of control? I am just trying to figure all of this out. Any help would be great.
I encourage to call your doctor's office and make an appointment. Go in and talk to your physician, in person, and explain exactly how weak you feel. Please be very frank with your doctor and explain that you eat very little and now equate eating food with gaining weight to such a degree that you get too sick to eat. I don't know what major stressors you have in your life, but whatever they are, you absolutely must find a healthy way of dealing with them. Seek whatever professional assistance is needed, but don't delay.
After reading this post I'm concerened. Stress or not you shouldn't feel like you are going to pass out. Are you taking any meds for blood pressure? If so it may be time to stop them. You need to see a Dr. this is not normal. I would encourage you to make an appoinment as soon as you can and tell the Dr. what you have told us. Hope you feel better soon.
God bless you,
Annette
