I will definitely do the shutters, that is useful info. My reason for moving from Michigan is none other than my husbands job transfered him, so I am apprehensive about moving to an area that is expensive....that will not be fun for sure. I am glad to be able to have my computer to connect with people like you who have had this experience with that state...its invaluable to someone like me! Thanks and keep warm here in the midwest!! My parents live in the town of Ruskin which is between Bradeton and Tampa it is a retirment community but it is close to Tampa and St Pete. I was told if you looking for property by the gulf it is more exspensive and cheaper is inland. You would also want to consider traffic they always have I 75 under construction all year around so traffic is the pits plus hwy 4 to Orlando is always backed up and congested due to the tourist on there way to disney and universal studios. Also if you live closer to St Pete it cost 2.00 each way to cross the skyway bridge that connects the mainland and st pete. Plus people can not get any type of hurrican insurance or flood insurance per my Dad. Good luck in your search and move Tricia
