Back home

Hey All! Just popping in to say hi. I've been home about a full day at this point and all is going well. Surgery went smoothley ( Dr. Obeid was very thankful he got my gall bladder out when he did- it was almost at popping point!) The Hurley care staff was awesome and then some! Not only were they professional but they were also nice and caring and just good people! I've been managing to get in most liquids because I'm up every few hours anyhow - it's down to an ache most of the time instead of pain so I am happy about that! can't wait for those stomach muscles to relax! Walking helps so I try to pace the house every time I am up! But hey It's a new day! and I'm going back to bed since the meds are kicking in Blessings! Jennifer

Thanks! it's so good to be home! My husband has been the best and it's nice to relax while I heal!

Hi Shawn! I;m excited about joining the losing side My recovery is going well- I am being very cautious with things, so far I'm on full liquids but even still I am careful with what I put in my mouth! Dr. Obeid scared my mom about what I was eating (she;s a retired nurse) - apparently smoothies are the devil to him, but Devora was good about reassuring her! I've found a coupld of protein shakes that I like so I am tring to drink enough of those and lay off broth because of the sodium! My son has offered to share his sippy cup with me so things are well! Thanks for all the well wishing! I go in Thurs to get these blasted staples removed!~ Jennifer
