Good thing on the RNY Board

Mixed in the ads on the left side of the board is a box that says "Learn about the risks of gastric bypass surgery." I clicked on it last night and recommend that everyone see it. It is a long (maybe 45 minute?) presentation of what this thing is all about. The explanations of what is cut and why were clear, the section on hernias was very interesting. There was discussion of surgeon skill levels, a bit on how to choose, info on leats, strictures (with a picture) aand a question and answer. Presented by two teaching doctors at Tufts, Q and A call ins at the end, all good information that underscored what I already knew and added more. I think it's a great tool for deciding on getting the rny, and on living safely with the one I have.
